No. We discuss whether care is appropriate, its limits, risks, alternatives and the option of declining. Medical assessment takes priority when needed.
Soreness, stiffness or increased pain can follow spinal manipulation. Serious neurological problems and strokes have also been reported. Neck manipulation has been associated with cervical artery tears; whether it causes them is disputed. Discuss these risks before deciding. [1]
There is no guaranteed number of visits or result. We discuss options after assessment and review whether care is helping. Chiropractic care must not delay medical care.
